Questions to ask Focus Group

 

  1. Did the film effectively establish the central conflict or danger within the limited time frame?

  2. Were you able to connect with and understand the main protagonist's motivations?

  1. Did the action sequences feel intense and exciting, considering the short duration of the film?

  2. Were the plot twists or surprises well-executed and unexpected?

  3. Did you feel engaged and invested in the story throughout the duration of the film?

  4. Were the visual style and tone of the film appropriate for an action thriller?

  5. Did the film leave you wanting to see more or expand upon the story?

  6. Were the special effects or CGI used in the film convincing and well-integrated?

This was the first time doing the shot of the masked criminal and the actor did not really know how to do he shot at first thus not turning out the best.

This was the second attempt at doing the shot of the masked criminal however the camera operator was a bit slow and unable to get all of the criminal’s face within the shot that was being done. As well as the actor’s performance requiring some improving.

This was the third of the shot of the masked criminal as he was doing what he was and though it was not perfect it was the better out of the three shots that were done of this scene thus meaning it is more likely to be used within the edit.

This shot was the first attempt at doing an establishing shot and though the movement of the camera was all right the response of the actors in shot was not the best. Also, their positing within the shot was not the greatest thus we decided that another take of this was required.

This shot is the second attempt for the establishing shot and it worked out better than the first. The Camera movement was better than the first as well as the actors being prepared thus making the shot even better than which was originally intended.

This shot was the first one of the conversation shots between the two detectives. This first attempt at the shot was not the best as the actors were not yet accustomed to the scene and begun messing around towards the end of the clip.

This shot was the second attempt at the shot of the conversation and this one did not go well. The actor could not control themselves and messed up their line part way through the scene.

This was the third attempt at this shot and it started well but ended poorly. The scene was going well up until detective Cody pushed his partner who was not expecting such force and almost lost their footing.

This is our fifth attempt at the sot and it came out much better compared to the rest of them as there was not problem with the actors or shot.

This was the first attempt at the continuation of the argument where detective Cody is upset with his partner however the actor who was playing detective John had messed up their line towards the end of the shot.
